Abstract : Feasibly the most controversial subject that has evolved from decades of research on employee behavior and employee attitudes is the job satisfaction-job performance relationship. But in spite of the importance of job satisfaction, this variable didn't get the attention it deserves in the Arabic literature and studies. Moreover, most of the studies on job satisfaction in the Arab world have focused on job satisfaction in academic and educational institutions. Hence, this study is an attempt to enrich the empirical efforts concerning a number of factors which affect the performance in the public sector, and it?aims at investigating the nature of relations between job satisfaction and financial rewards; physical work conditions and career future. In addition, to investigating the effect of some personal variables on job satisfaction in the public agencies in the State of Kuwait. Finally, the most important results of this study?are as follows: a. There is no correlation between job satisfaction and physical work conditions. b. The decline of the effect of the financial rewards on job satisfaction. c. There is a strong and positive correlation between job satisfaction and career future. d. There are no differences in the level of satisfaction according to the differences in some of the personal variables; such as, age, length of service, educational level and position.
